What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Proofreading focuses on identifying errors in spelling, grammar, and inconsistencies in writing tone. We then recommend corrections while preserving your original writing style. At Whoops Word, we proofread using Microsoft Word’s Track Changes, allowing you to review suggested corrections and recommendations in the document’s margins.
Editing goes a step further by clarifying flow and tone. With this service, your document is returned with the improvements already applied, ensuring a convenient, polished, and professional final result.
What are your qualifications and experience?
Whoops Word is led by Georgia, a freelancer with extensive real-world experience navigating today’s competitive job market.
Having worked in retail throughout high school and university, she understands the challenges young job seekers face as companies increasingly turn to AI-driven tools to filter and auto-reject applications based on errors, missing keywords, and bias toward corporate language.

What is your turnaround time?
Whoops Word is committed to providing efficient service to clients. Work is returned to clients within seven days of handover (i.e., after the documents have been sent to whoopswordproofread@gmail.com). Clients will receive a confirmation email when the documents are received.
Clients can request expedited services at an additional cost.
How do you charge for your services?

Whoops Word can tailor packages or create custom deals for clients with specific needs. Enquiries can be sent through the Contact Us page or directly to whoopswordproofread@gmail.com.
Clients are sent a quote invoice after hiring Whoops Word. A 20% deposit is required before work can commence. When documents are returned, a final invoice is sent via email.
How do you handle revisions?
Whoops Word prides itself on providing the best possible service for every client. However, if you are not 100% satisfied, you can request up to two revisions free of charge.
Please note that all subsequent revisions will incur additional costs of $20.00 per document per revision.
